The City of Brass.
Dev Diary #4
During the Art Studio module today, we started looking into importing assets and learning to compose a scene in Unreal Engine! Using the asset pack 'The City of Brass', I began experimenting with object placement and tried to create a hidden, desert city scene.
After placing the larger, structural objects, I decided to go back to the asset store and download the prop asset pack. This allowed me add smaller details to the scene such as pots, candles and coins.
Whilst I enjoyed importing and experimenting with the assets, next I want to learn how to add more dynamic lighting to the scene and experiment with the time of day and overall tone. Additionally, I want to be able to create my own assets to import and create a scene entirely from scratch.
